Memories are a large part of who we are, and sounds and music help us remember things – from mother-love to times-tables. But memories can fade as a normal part of ageing and can happen with illness, accident or dementia. A Music Mirror is a brief life story in our own words, with sounds and music embedded to spark feelings and memories later. Not a playlist but a way of capturing who we are.
On Tuesday the 22nd of January between 2 and 4pm, Heather Edwards from Music Mirrors, will give us a general picture about how Music Mirrors can help. Heather will give members the opportunity to pair up and begin making their own Music Mirrors.
Start now, and build a toolkit of memories for the future.
