Art for Self Care

February 26th

Robert Lamacraft will talk about how he uses art as therapy. This is followed by an support discussion and an opportunity to consider ways in which you can support yourself emotionally.

Edward Bates Will be talking about the work of the Norwich and Norfolk Association for the Blind.

Lip Speaking

April 23th

Julie Fauvel-Howard will be talking about and demonstrating lip speaking. A lipspeaker is a hearing person who has been professionally trained to be easy to lipread. Lipspeakers reproduce clearly the shapes of the words and the natural rhythm and stress used by the speaker. They also use facial expression, gesture and, if requested, finger spelling, to aid the lipreader’s understanding. This practice is known as lipspeaking.

Flowers at Norwich Cathedral

May 28th

The Flower Guild has been responsible for the flowers in Norwich Cathedral for almost 70 years, keeping the Cathedral looking loved and well-cared for.

Veronica and Logan

June 25th

Veronica will be bringing her hearing dog, Logan,  to demonstrate how helps her in her day to day life.
